The purpose of this women's ministry is to provide
vision and coordination for the outreach and inreach
ministries.
Scope of Ministry:
Ministry of Women Reaching
Women is led by women who advise and plan
elective classes that meet the needs of today's
woman. The women's ministry sponsors an annual
retreat that focuses on relaxation, fellowship, and
spiritual refreshing. Super Woman Saturday Seminars
are also conducted at various times to teach and
encourage. The Mentor & Me (M&M) program is designed
to create an atmosphere to develop friendships and
spiritual growth.
Ministry of Social
Activities is led by women who advise and
plan various activities sponsored throughout the
year such as movie nights, seasonal events (Fall,
Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day), and other special
themed events. These are designed to build
friendships, recognize special days in a delightful
way, and provide the desired "girl time" women need.
Ministry of Missions and
Outreach is led by women who advise and
plan various ways to reach others in our community,
in our country, and around the world. The homeless
are clothed and fed. Bibles are given away. The
Manna Ministry is a church-wide vision that
expresses a caring attitude. As a part of this
ministry, women collect clothes for those in need,
distribute food on special events and provide
gift-wrap service for the toy drive in December. As
another way to reach our community, women
participate in the Assisting Community Education
(ACE) program. Schoolteachers are served each week
as ACE volunteers make copies, transparencies, or
laminate materials.
Ministry of Tender Loving
Care (TLC) is led by women who advise and
plan ways to bless brides-to-be with a bridal tea
and celebrate with new mothers at a baby shower.
Various social activities are sponsored throughout
the year such as church-wide holiday meals and other
important meal events. This ministry also assists
others in time of crisis i.e. death, sickness,
tragedy, or misfortune. The focus is to prepare food
for individuals, families, and friends of the church
during a time of loss, pain, or sorrow.
Ministry of Prayer
is led by women who advise and plan ways to
implement prayer in the lives of women. Prayer
workshops are offered to teach on prayer. A prayer
team is on call for prayer needs and prayer groups
meet throughout the year at different times to pray
for special events.
Ministry of Fundraising
is led by women who advise and plan ways to present
projects that support the goals of the women's
ministry.
In this ministry, the women support each other as
prayer intercessors, provide each other with
spiritual growth opportunities, sponsor fellowship
activities, assist others in time of crisis, engage
in fundraising projects, and reach out to meet the
physical and spiritual needs of people in
surrounding communities through selfless acts of
compassion.
